• 500grams Beef mince
  • 250-300grams Sausage meat
  • 1 Red capsicum, diced
  • 1 large or 2 small Zucchini (courgette), diced
  • 1 Carrot (if doing low carb not keto), grated
  • 2 teaspoons minced Garlic or 2 cloves crushed and diced
  • 1 Onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup Almond flour or ground almonds
  • 1/4 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried Oregano 
  • 1 cup low sugar Passata sauce or another low sugar pasta sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2-1 cup Cheese, grated (mozzarella, tasty, edam, whatever you have on hand) 


    1.  Preheat oven to 180 degrees
    2. Make the meatloaf. Place 1/2 cup of passata sauce to the side along with the cheese (these will be used to top the meatloaf. Place the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon or wash your hands and get in there with your hands and mix till well combined.
    3. Place in a loaf tin or a baking dish. Press down evenly.
    4. Pour the reserved 1/2 cup of passata sauce on top and spread evenly on top of the meatloaf.
    5. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes. 
    6. Take out and sprinkle the cheese on top and place back in the oven for another 10 to 15 minutes or til the cheese is melted and golden.
    7. Take out of the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
    8. Serve with some steamed broccoli and caulifower or a green salad on the side
